About Me

Hi, I'm Adrian!

A picture of me, Adrian Lam, looking very smart, cool, and professional.

I’m the kind of person who loves messy problems. Whether it's navigating conflicting user needs, ambiguous systems, or looking at behavioural pattern patterns, I'm at my best when I'm digging into how and why the world works. My work is all about asking the right questions and mapping the chaos so that we can make sense of big problems and build real solutions.

Before I got into UX my background included behavioral economics, sociology, and business, which means I bring both curiosity and structure to my work. I blend the best of qualitative and quantitative methods, and I’m always thinking about how research can have meaningful impact; whether that's guiding design decisions, shaping strategy, or just keeping solutions grounded in real user needs.

I’ve worked on everything from information architecture and UX strategy to full product redesigns and systems overhauls. Outside of traditional UX roles, I’ve led project management efforts and recently developed a program with the Toronto Public Library and medical professionals to promote accessibility. Whether I’m working in my professional life or crafting personal projects, I’m at my best when I’m untangling problems- making the world a little easier, and a little more human for the people I can help.

Outside of UX I am inspired by the world of gaming, films, and the stories and worlds that connect people to one another.
